We spent the last week of September in the Big Easy, sight seeing, dancing, listening to music and of course, eating! We tried all the classic N'awlins dishes (and cocktails!), got some new cookbooks, and even went to the Louisianna School of Cooking, where we learned how to make classic cajun gumbo and jambalya.
We'll be spending the next couple weeks working on some dishes inspired by our trip. Meanwhile, coming this Sunday, the next in our series on local food, Local Organic Farms and Dairies.
